These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Bynge, an app operated by an individual developer (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Bynge, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Bynge.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bynge. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Bynge only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information, don’t impersonate anyone, and don’t create accounts to evade a block or a ban. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to your account.
Your rankings, notes, profile, and other content you add (“your content”) remain yours. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and provide Bynge, for example to show your activity to people who can see it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already shared or that we must keep by law.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to post it.
Bynge has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to post, upload, or share content, or to behave in a way, that:
You can report any account or post from within the app and block any account. We review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, which may include removing the content and suspending or permanently banning the account that posted it. Bynge also automatically rejects some objectionable language in usernames, display names, bios, and notes.
We may remove any content or suspend any account that we believe violates these Terms, without notice.
Don’t misuse Bynge. For example, don’t access it through automated means other than the app; don’t probe, scan, or test its security, or interfere with or overload it; don’t copy or resell its data; and don’t use it for anything unlawful.
Film and TV information and artwork are provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. That information and artwork remain the property of their respective owners.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we stop offering Bynge. The sections on your content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
Bynge is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that Bynge will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that film information is accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Bynge. Our total liability for any claim relating to Bynge will not exceed US$50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Bynge or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your license to use the Bynge app on Apple devices is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Bynge after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
